Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has appeared in many television programs. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted refugee status to remain. She was brought up within Northern Virginia and is the second child in a family from two siblings. Ghanizada got her start in the world of television through a handful of National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada played the lead role of Chiara a performance for which she was awarded an award for best actress at a film festival nomination. She's appeared in TV shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Entourage Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych, and Castle. Her most recent roles include an appearance as a character for the character of Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada has been cast in The General Hospital spinoff General Hospital which was telecast on primetime television. as the character Dr. Saira Bhata, an specialist in holistic health on Night Shift's second season. Ghanizada starred as Kelly who was a Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage during 2009.
